Day 1: Arrive Amritsar
Arrive at Amritsar Railway Station transfer to the hotel, Check-in the Hotel, afternoon visit Indo-Pak Wagah Border to watch Flag Retreat Ceremony- Wagah, an army outpost on the Indo-Pak border 30 Kms from Amritsar where the daily highlight is the evening "Beating the Retreat" Ceremony. Soldiers from both countries march in perfect drills, going through the steps of bringing down their respective national flags. As the sun goes down, nationalistic fervor rises and lights are switched on marking the end of the day amidst thunderous applause. Later in the evening free for shopping etc.Overnight at Amritsar Hotel.
Day 2: Amritsar Golden Temple Darshan
After breakfast at the hotel, Start your city tour with the blessings of Sri Harmandir Sahib, which is named after Hari (God) the temple of God, also known as the Golden Temple in Amritsar is the holiest shrine of the Sikh religion. Then visit Jallianwala Bagh which is a memorial to the countless numbers of innocent Indians who were massacred by General Dyer on 13 April 1919 which happened to be 'Baisakhi', one of Punjab's largest religious festivals. Visit Mata Lal devi Temple, Mata Lal Devi Mandir in Amritsar is an attraction of the history of Amritsar, India. A grand old pious lady developed this Hindu temple situated at Rani kaBagh, on the lines of the holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi at Katra (Jammu). Day 3: Amritsar - Katra
After Breakfast, Drive to Katra "VaishnoDevi" as it is popularly known is a small town in the district of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir situated in the foothills of the Trikuta Mountains, where the holy shrine of Vaishno Devi is located. On arrival at Katra, check into the hotel & relax. The evening is free for leisure. Overnight at Katra Hotel.
Day 4: Vaishno Devi Darshan
After Breakfast, Start your Holy Journey to Mata Vaishno devi Darshan. Mata VaishnoDevi temple is one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Shakti and is the second most visited religious shrine in India after Tirupati Balaji Temple. Trek to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine (14 km), ponies can also be arranged by self (at your own cost) for the trek, and return to Katra late in the evening/night. Overnight at Katra Hotel.
Day 5: Chamunda Devi, KangraJi, JawalaJi
After breakfast visit CHAMUNDA DEVI, also known as Chamundi and Charchika, is a fearsome aspect of Devi, the Divine Mother and one of the seven Matrikas (mother goddesses). The name is a combination of Chanda and Munda, two monsters whom Chamunda killed. Here Lord shiva is present in the form of death, destruction & dead bodies along with Devi Chamunda. In the temple, the devotees can see scenes from the DeviMahatmya, Ramayan, and Mahabharata. On either side of Devi's image are Hanuman and Bhairo. Then visit BRAJESHWAR temples in KANGRA This temple is dedicated to Sui Mata, the local princess of Chamba who sacrifice her life for the people of her kingdom. Colorful paintings on the temple wall depict the story of SuiMata. The style which makes the temple different from others is the shikara style and on top, there is a wooden amalaka. After Darshans proceed to JAWALAMUKHI (55kms). Check-in at the hotel and after lunch visit, the JAWALAJI temple also called the "Flaming Goddess" or "She of the flaming mouth".It lies in the valley of Beas and is built over some natural jets of combustible gas believed to be a manifestation of the goddess Devi Bhagwati Jawalamukhi. A legend avers that the flames proceed from the mouth of demon Jalandhara, the Daitya King whom Shiva over-whelmed with mountains. Overnight in hotel at JAWALAMUKHI.
Day 6: Chintpurni Ji
After breakfast drive to CHINTPURNI JI temple, Mata Chintpurni Devi is also known as Mata ShriChhinnamastikaDevi. Devotees have been visiting this Shaktipeeth for centuries to pray at the lotus feet of Mata Shri Chhinnamastika Devi. They bring with them their worldly concerns and seek blessings from the Devi. It is believed that if you ask something from the Devi with a true heart, your wish will be granted. After darshan drives to Amritsar and drops at the airport/Station for the onward journey.
